March is always my busiest month on the blog. While many food bloggers focus on Thanksgiving and Christmas, readers come here searching for Easter recipes and seasonal treats. This March I finally perfected my Chocolate Chip Muffins after years of tweaking the recipe. I had made versions before but never felt ready to publish—until now. These muffins are ideal for breakfast or a snack, and they vanished within a day or two whenever I baked a batch.
I also embraced Easter flavors with Maple Roasted Carrots and my take on an Italian Cream Cake. I ended up preparing most of the meal early, so when the actual holiday arrived we opted for a backyard BBQ. After the BBQ I treated ourselves to Boozy Hot Chocolate Floats—hot chocolate poured over ice cream, with a spirited twist. They were so enjoyable I plan to make these floats regularly; adults deserve playful desserts too.
To close out the month I made Chicken Chorizo Meatball Sliders. They might be the best meatballs I’ve ever made—savory, well-seasoned, and perfect for slider buns. Overall, it was a month full of comforting, shareable recipes that are easy to make at home.
Below you’ll find links to the final recipes and photos from March. I’ve also included some of the products I use for my food photography through affiliate links; they help me create consistent results. If you have any questions about the recipes or techniques, feel free to ask.
ENJOY ~ Meagan
