Ingredients
Cheese Crisps:
- 1 ¼ cup shredded jack or cheddar cheese (or a mix)
Nacho Spice Mix:
- 1 tbsp finely grated Parmesan cheese (powdered)
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp fine sea salt
- ½ tsp tomato powder (optional, adds extra flavor)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the Parmesan, chili powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and tomato powder. Set aside.
- Place about 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese into the bottom of each cup of a silicone muffin pan or a lightly greased metal muffin tin.
- Bake 8–10 minutes, until the cheese has melted, is bubbling, and is just beginning to brown at the edges.
- Remove the pan from the oven. While the crisps cool in the pan, sprinkle each with the prepared spice mix. Do not remove them from the pan yet—allow them to set and harden for about 10–12 minutes.
- Once firm, pop the crisps out of a silicone pan by pressing up from the bottom of each cup. If using a metal muffin tin, gently loosen each crisp with a butter knife and lift it out. Serve immediately.
