With all the holiday buzz everywhere, Thanksgiving can feel overlooked between Halloween and Christmas. To keep the season feeling balanced, I made some chocolate wafer turkeys — quick, no-bake treats that are perfect for the holiday table.
These adorable turkey wafers are fast and easy to assemble, and they’re a great way to use leftover candy corn. Or, if you’re anything like me, they’re a perfectly good reason to buy more candy corn after eating the rest!

These chocolate-dipped wafer turkeys make a fun kids’ activity for Thanksgiving day: melt the chocolate, hand the candies over, and let little hands do the decorating.
They’d also be charming displayed next to other seasonal treats, like mini pumpkin gnome bites or candy corn fudge.
Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to assemble these cute candy turkeys.

- Chocolate-dipped vanilla wafer cookies – store-bought chocolate-covered wafers work best; Kit-Kats or homemade dipped sugar wafers are good alternatives.
- Chocolate chips – melted, to use as “glue.”
- Candy corn – for the turkey’s feather fan.
- Yellow M&Ms – small pieces make an easy beak.
- Candy eyes – to finish the face.
How to Make Them
Line a baking sheet with parchment and arrange the wafer cookies in a single layer.
Place the chocolate chips in a small, microwave-safe bowl and heat in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.

Use small dollops of the melted chocolate to attach the decorations: one larger dot at the top of the wafer for the candy corn feathers, two tiny dabs for the eyes, and a small dab near the bottom for the beak where you’ll press a yellow M&M into place.

After decorating, chill the tray in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to let the chocolate firm up. Once set, they’re ready to serve.
These turkeys are a simple, satisfying food craft — ideal for kids and adults alike. You’ll probably find yourself saying “gobble gobble” as you snack on them!
