Vegan baked s’mores dip made with dark chocolate and vegan marshmallows. Serve with graham crackers and fresh fruit as a summer dessert or appetizer!

Remember how we counted sleeps before Christmas? Today is my last sleep before a big move, and tomorrow friends and family will help me haul boxes from Virginia to Maryland.
Life feels a little chaotic right now, but I’m learning to accept the uncertainty instead of trying to control everything. So if you’ve heard of a “hot girl summer,” meet my proud hot mess summer—short on time and kitchen creativity, long on improvisation.
That’s why this recipe is perfect: it uses minimal ingredients, takes almost no prep, and still results in a crowd-pleasing, decadent dessert. This Vegan S’mores Dip is vegan, gluten-free, and refined-sugar-free, and it’s made with just three main ingredients and your choice of dippers.

The dip gives a deconstructed s’mores vibe that solves two common s’mores problems: chocolate that doesn’t melt enough and marshmallows that don’t get evenly toasted. In this skillet version the chocolate is perfectly gooey from the start, and you control how browned the marshmallows get—lightly golden to deeply charred, no judgment either way.

Here’s what you need:
- 1 tsp avocado or coconut oil (for greasing)
- 2 cups chopped dark chocolate (I used a bold, silky dark chocolate bar)
- 8–10 oz. large vegan marshmallows (enough to cover the base of your pan)
- Vegan graham crackers and fresh berries for serving

Start with a cast iron skillet for an effortless oven-to-table presentation. If you don’t have cast iron, a round baking dish or pie plate works fine. Lightly grease the bottom and sides with oil to prevent sticking.

Scatter chopped dark chocolate evenly across the greased pan. I like a high-quality dark bar because it melts smoothly and isn’t overly sweet, which balances the marshmallows nicely.

Top the melted chocolate with large vegan marshmallows, arranging them in an even layer and leaving a little space between each so they can expand while baking. Bake time varies with oven, pan, and marshmallow brand; start checking around 8 minutes and remove when marshmallows are puffy and golden to your liking. They will deflate slightly as they cool—that’s normal and doesn’t affect flavor.

Serve the dip warm with vegan graham crackers for an authentic s’mores experience. I also love offering fresh berries for a bright contrast—strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries work well. Other dipping options include apple slices, cookies, or chips.
This dip doesn’t have to be confined to dipping: spoon it over pancakes, oatmeal, yogurt bowls, or ice cream for an indulgent twist.

Enjoy this Vegan S’mores Dip as a relaxed summer dessert to share with friends, a simple party treat, or a cozy campfire dessert. It’s best straight from the oven while the chocolate is still gooey; leftovers can be reheated gently in the microwave until warm and melty.

If you make this, I’d love to hear how it turns out. Leave a comment or rating where you found the recipe and tag me on social if you share a photo. Have fun experimenting with dippers and serving ideas—this recipe is flexible and forgiving.
